Results of the ZCG Election (June 2023)

The ZCAP poll to elect two members of the Zcash Community Grants committee closed early this morning, and the results are in.

  • GGuy: 78 votes
  • Wobbzz: 74 votes
  • Beth: 36 votes (Note that Beth withdrew her candidacy shortly after polling began)

Wobbzz is therefore re-elected to the Committee, and he will be joined by new member GGuy.

Hailing from Australia, GGuy has amassed over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. For the past 17 years, he has specialized as a software engineer in security. GGuy brings to the table an extensive knowledge base covering a broad array of programming languages and frameworks. He eagerly looks forward to utilizing this proficiency to aid ZCG with technical reviews and strategic RFP proposals.

With a firm belief in Zcash’s solid privacy foundation, GGuy is passionate about the potential for targeted investments in technical innovation. He is confident that these strategic initiatives will enhance the user experience and drive wider adoption by effectively addressing long-standing feature and usability challenges.

Thank you to all the candidates who ran for election, and to everyone who voted.

This election marks the departure of Cody Burns (aka DontPanicBurns on the Zcash Community Forum). Cody’s technical expertise as an enterprise blockchain architect has been a major asset to the ZCG committee over the past year. We want to thank him on behalf of the Foundation, and the broader Zcash community for his service.
