Zcon is an annual conference the Zcash Foundation (ZF) organizes, with a focus on Zcash and privacy-preserving technologies.
ZconVI was a virtual gathering that took place Tuesday, March 4 - Friday, March 7, 2025. The full agenda is available here.
The event focused on the theme of Synergy Through Decentralization, highlighting the collaborative efforts of multiple organizations in planning and executing the event content. However, it is important to note that the sessions themselves were not restricted by any specific theme, providing a broad canvas for diverse topics and discussions.
The conference structure was designed to foster collaboration among key organizations within the Zcash ecosystem:
Each day featured a co-curated panel session. These panels were a collaborative effort among all partner organizations and were livestreamed to ensure maximum reach and engagement.
ZF handled all logistical aspects of ZconVI. This included managing audiovisual needs, registration processes, attendee communication, graphic design for event materials, and more. ZF utilized the well-received Whova platform and updated the app to maximize opportunities for community engagement throughout the conference.
Each participating organization had a liaison working closely with ZF to ensure that all necessary information for their planned sessions was communicated effectively.
The Whova app was a go-to resource for ZconVI. Once you registered, you could add sessions to your calendar, participate in discussions with other attendees, ask speakers questions, watch live streams of each session, and have access to other important info.
Anyone could view the sessions that were live-streamed on the Zcash Foundation's YouTube channel without registering.
To participate in discussions with other participants and to ask speakers questions, you needed to complete the virtual registration with a name/pseudonym and email address and agree to our Code of Conduct policy.
The name you entered was your public username when you participate in the chat during the conference.
Thank you for asking. All communication and interactions, both in-person and virtual, are subject to the same Code of Conduct as the Zcash Forum.
